My 4th graders mixed some amazing blueish colors this week for a background to a painting. They practiced painting evenly using a new type of brush and a paint with a very fluid consistency.

Never under estimate the excitement of color mixing! We have been mixing colors in 4th for some landscapes and the excitement has been so intense I changed my objectives around a little and told them to paint their landscapes what ever colors are making them happy! The results have been amazing! :)
